In some cases, when lawns are cut too short, it can place unnecessary stress on the grass, causing it to dry out more quickly and lose its vibrant green color. When that happens, homeowners are often encouraged to invest in fertilizers, irrigation systems, or other treatments that may not always be necessary.

That's why we mow at the proper height, follow best practices for turf health, and tailor our service schedule to your property's needs and preferences. While there are situations where irrigation systems or fertilizer applications can be beneficial, most lawns thrive when the fundamentals are done right.
For most properties, maintaining a healthy, green lawn comes down to a few simple principles:
Cut the grass even, not necessarily short.
Cut no more than one-third of the grass blades at any one time. This allows the structure of the blade to remain intact and healthy, allowing for strong roots as well as new growth.
Cut the grass based on growing conditions and rainfall. During peak growth months, grass may need to be cut as often as every five days, while in the hotter slower growing months, every other week may be enough.
Trim weeds and tall grass around foundation, trees and beds as requested.

North Atlantic Landscape performs superb lawn care and landscape maintenance at Charron Circle Condominium in Exeter, NH. The spring and fall cleanups are meticulous, removing all debris, branches, leaves and other material from winter and seasonal weather events. Weekly mowing and lawn edging is timely and well executed. Edging of planting beds and tree rings and mulching of same is particularly notable for neatness and appearance. Weeding of beds, mulched areas and building drip edges is timely and well done.
Awesome experience, start to finish! They removed our old paver patio and 3 sets of steps that had decayed and replaced with new pavers and granite steps. Larry was especially responsive with our quote, installation, and then personally ensured we were happy throughout, and at the end of the project. Matthew and his install team were methodical and went the extra mile to do a job that exceeded our expectations. Truly an excellent experience. A++ service.
